Job Title: Careers Advisor (Kent Region)

We are seeking a dedicated Careers Advisor based in the Kent region, with the ability to travel to Maidstone. The role involves providing tailored support to adults from diverse backgrounds regarding learning opportunities, career paths, and employment. You will manage a caseload, develop SMART action plans, and offer high-quality advice to assist individuals in achieving their career goals.

Work locations include local Restart centres, community venues, employer settings, or remotely via video or telephone calls. You will be based at your nearest office, with mileage reimbursed for travel to other sites. A valid driving license and own transport are required.

Role Objectives

To ensure high satisfaction levels among clients, helping them overcome barriers and make informed career decisions. This outcome-based role supports learners in achieving defined learning and employment outcomes set by the Department for Education, with performance targets monitored regularly.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Level 2 IAG Qualification or higher is essential, with a willingness to complete a fully funded Level 3/4 IAG qualification upon appointment.
• Ideally, a Level 3 qualification in Careers Information & Advice or equivalent.
• Proficiency in IT, especially for teaching, presenting, and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of ESFA and ESF funding requirements is advantageous.
• Significant vocational experience in the IAG sector is desirable.
• Full UK Driving License and own vehicle are mandatory.
