Job summary

Careers Wales is seeking full-time Careers Advisers and Trainee Careers Advisers across South East and North East Wales. You will work with individuals to assess needs, provide guidance and tailored support to enter or re-enter the labour market, collaborating with partners to progress into education, training or employment.

Welsh language skills are essential at Intermediate or Proficient level. Adviser roles require a QCF Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) and eligibility for the CDI Register;

Qualifications

• QCF Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development (or equivalent) is required for Adviser roles.
• Eligibility for the CDI Register of Practitioners is required for Adviser roles.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required.

Responsibilities

• Support young people and adults to enter or re-enter the labour market through assessment, guidance and tailored support.
• Collaborate with training providers, Jobcentre Plus, prisons, youth offending teams and employers to help customers progress into education, training or employment.
• Deliver one-to-one support, group employability sessions and digital presentations.
