Job summary

SGS College is seeking an enthusiastic Employability Skills and Industry Placement Coach to support learners in developing employability skills and securing high-quality industry placements. The role coordinates workplace learning opportunities and builds strong employer partnerships to help learners progress into employment or further study.

The position reports to the Readiness and Personal Development Directorate and emphasizes learner support, employer engagement, and programme coordination

Qualifications

• Experience of organising industry placements or employer engagement activities.
• Experience of delivering employability skills workshops or training programs.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage high-quality industry placements and employer-led learning opportunities.
• Deliver employability skills workshops, workplace readiness sessions and pre-placement briefings.
• Coach learners to develop key employability skills and professional behaviours.
• Match learners to placement opportunities aligned to study programmes and career goals.
• Maintain learner tracking data, placement records and associated documentation.
