Job summary

Catch22 College in Peterlee is seeking a Recruitment and Progression Officer to recruit learners onto the study programme and support them throughout, conducting monthly reviews and sourcing local work placements. You will build links with Local Authorities, NEET teams, schools and employers to create placement opportunities and match learners to suitable roles.

The role requires a Level 2 in English and Maths, a full driving licence, and experience in education or vocational training.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with learners and partners.
• Experience in education or vocational training settings.
• Ability to engage and motivate young people to reach goals.
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally further afield.

Responsibilities

• Recruit learners onto the study programme by engaging with Local Authorities, NEET teams, schools and referring agencies.
• Conduct initial interviews, ensure eligibility checks, and upload enrolment forms.
• Provide regular 1-2-1 progress reviews with learners and plan progression routes.
• Liaise with tutors to create Individual Learner Plans and coordinate on learner journeys.
• Source work placements with local employers and support learners in placements and reviews.
