Job summary

Waverley Education Foundation in Birmingham is seeking a Careers Support Officer to provide administrative support for the college’s CEIAG programme, helping meet statutory guidance, Gatsby Benchmarks and provider access requirements.

You will arrange careers activities, keep accurate records and ensure every pupil has the guidance and encounters they are entitled to, under term-time hours with two weeks additional work.

Qualifications

• All applicants must be able to communicate effectively with pupils, teachers and external agencies as required.
• Relevant qualifications and A* - C GCSE in English or equivalent.
• Ability to speak fluent spoken English (essential) – this post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
• Must meet the person specification and be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient administrative support for the college’s CEIAG programme, helping the college meet the DfE statutory careers guidance (updated for September 2026), the Gatsby Benchmarks and the provider access legislation.
• Keep accurate records, arrange careers activities and work experience, and help make sure every student has the encounters and guidance they are entitled to.
