Job summary

Opus People Solutions Limited is seeking an Employment Advisor for a temporary role in Walsall. You will manage a caseload of unemployed adults and young people, providing tailored support to progress into education, training, apprenticeships or sustainable employment.

The role involves delivering career guidance, identifying barriers, and working with local employers and partners. You will plan and deliver one-to-one and group sessions, monitor progress, and report against performance targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in employability services or welfare-to-work.
• CIAG Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience desirable.
• Experience supporting unemployed adults and young people.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to build relationships with employers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of unemployed adults and young people, guiding them to education, training, apprenticeships or employment.
• Deliver high-quality careers information, advice and guidance to help informed decisions.
• Identify barriers to employment and develop practical action plans.
• Plan and deliver one-to-one and group employability sessions.
• Monitor progress and report against targets and funding.
• Build relationships with employers, training providers and partner organisations.
• Support NEETs to re-engage into opportunities.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to deliver local employment initiatives.
• Promote council's employment and skills services to residents.
• Contribute to service objectives and KPIs through proactive case management.
