Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 qualification or higher in education, careers guidance, employability, human resources, coaching, or a related subject, and/or significant relevant professional experience.
• Experience supporting personal development, employability, careers education, or workplace skills.
• Knowledge of CV writing, interview techniques, job applications, and recruitment processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging personal development and employability sessions.
• Prepare lesson plans, activities, and resources to meet learners' needs.
• Support learners to identify their strengths, skills, interests, and future goals.
• Teach CV writing, job searching, application forms, and cover letter preparation.
• Develop interview skills through practice interviews, role-play, and constructive feedback.
• Improve learners' communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Introduce workplace expectations, professional behaviour, and effective working relationships.
• Help learners explore career pathways, training opportunities, and further education.
• Build learners' confidence, resilience, motivation, and self-awareness.
• Introduce digital employability skills, including online job searches and applications.
• Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for adults with different backgrounds and experiences.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage development.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and professional practice.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support high-quality adult learning across college sites.
