About Ignite Hubs

Ignite Hubs is an education charity for children and young people. Our mission is to ignite the potential of young minds by widening their horizons and providing them with the skills, connections and experiences to access and pursue meaningful careers and lead fulfilling lives.

We aim to provide the best learning environment for children and young people from all backgrounds and abilities. We place a special emphasis on engaging underrepresented groups, including girls, ethnic minorities, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We currently teach coding, STEM and creative writing teaching over 200 students each week and have positively impacted more than 1,000 children and young people since we started. Our educational offerings include five weekly virtual classes and four weekly in-person classes during term time at various libraries throughout Southwark, SE London.

Our long-term ambition is to offer nationwide classes, workshops and events to children and young people on a wide variety of subjects under our five educational Hubs: Code, STEM, Innovation & Enterprise, Creativity and Health & Wellbeing.

You will work closely with the Founder/CEO, Leadership Development Specialist, and wider team to ensure that career education is embedded across all Ignite Hubs programmes, including the Ignite Youth Leader Programme and our Corporate Mentoring Programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and implement a careers education offer that is skills-based and aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks, best practices and future-of-work learning models.

Join us in transforming career education and making high-quality career guidance accessible to young people across the UK!

Help young people explore their interests, strengths, and values to uncover potential career pathways.

2. Career Exploration – What’s out there?

3. Career Building & Planning – How do I get there?

Equip young people with the practical tools to access and pursue their chosen path.

4. Career Development & Adaptability – How do I grow?

Prepare young people for long-term career success and adaptability in a changing job market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a Careers Education Framework
  • Create engaging and accessible early career content and resources for the Ignite Learning Hub
  • Create self-assessment tools and career planning tools to support exploration, planning, and growth
  • Collaborate with employers and young people to ensure relevance and real-world alignment
  • Contribute to the development of the Ignite Youth Leader Programme and our Corporate Mentoring Programme.

About You
