Job summary

ILA Self Directed Support Forth Valley in Tullibody, Scotland, is seeking a kind, reliable Care Worker / Personal Assistant to help a woman living with MS at home, promoting independence and dignity.

Hours are 15 per week (3 days, 5 hours daily), on-site, with shifts 10:30am-2:30pm and 9pm-10pm. Temporary cover until January. A compassionate, person-centred approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering personal care and supporting daily living activities.
• Ability to assist with mobility transfers and catheter care.
• Empathy, reliability and a person-centred approach to support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and bedtime routines.
• Support dressing, meal preparation and basic household tasks.
• Assist with transfers using a ceiling hoist when required and provide companionship.

Description:

Employer is looking for a kind, reliable and dependable Personal Assistant/ Care Worker to provider care and support to a woman living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in her own home. Supporting her independence, choice and dignity

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in providing person-centred care and would enjoy building a trusting relationship with the employer.

Tasks will include:

• Assisting with their Personal Care
• Assisting with their bedtime routine
• Assisting with catheter care
• Assisting with dressing
• Preparing food/drinks as required
• Assisting the supported person with general household support
• Assisting with transfers and mobility using a tracking/ ceiling hoist
• Providing Companionship and assisting with social support
• Any other duties commensurate with the role of Care Worker / Personal Assistant
