Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to join our Extra Care team. You’ll help residents live independently in their own apartments, with supportive facilities in our schemes, and you’ll join a friendly, values-driven workplace.

No prior qualifications required; full training is provided and there are clear progression routes via the Extra Care Academy to management roles. A positive attitude and reliable attendance are key.

Responsibilities

• Support with household and domestic tasks (laundry, shopping, cleaning).
• Make meals, drinks and snacks as needed.
• Encourage residents to follow agreed care plans.
• Assist with personal care (washing, bathing, dressing) and help with medication as required.
• Prioritise resident wellbeing and keep managers informed of progress.
