Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is recruiting two Care Workers (Community) for Smithybrook View Extra Care Establishment in Clay Cross. You will work across a three-shift rota (early mornings, afternoons and nights) to support clients and promote independence within the Northeast Extra Care Service.

Training is provided; enhanced pay applies after 7pm and before 7am. Benefits include annual leave, pension, and uniform, with additional unsociable hour pay and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of tasks to clients over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week to promote independence.
• Perform personal care, dressing, meal preparation and health monitoring.
• Administer medication and support clients to access communal areas; respond to emergencies as required.
