Job summary

CYGNET is seeking an Acting Team Leader at Outwood in Horsforth to oversee daily operations and deliver high-quality care. The role combines leadership duties with hands-on support, sharing shifts with a Support Worker.

You’ll lead a small team, coordinate duties, and promote safeguarding and best practice in a resident-focused environment. The role offers 42 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, including alternate weekends, with a clear pathway to develop leadership skills within a specialist

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support roles is advantageous.
• Aspiration to progress into leadership roles within a care setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across teams.
• Committed to person-centred care and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership for the care team to ensure high-quality service.
• Coordinate and allocate duties to maintain efficient daily operations.
• Lead, motivate and support staff to uphold best practice and person-centred care.
• Assist management with daily running of the service and administration.
• Monitor care delivery to reflect residents’ needs and preferences.
• Promote a positive, safe environment for service users and staff.
