Job summary

RMBI Care Co. is seeking a Care Team Leader at Zetland Court, Bournemouth, to inspire and guide a care team, delivering safe, person-centred care to residents each day.

You will mentor staff, oversee handovers, and ensure high standards through auditing care plans, medication safety and effective family communications.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with guided development for those keen to achieve Level 3.
  • Proven experience in a care setting, with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.
  • Confidence in supporting staff to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and adapt.
  • Calm, empathetic approach, building trust with residents, families and colleagues.
  • Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in care and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and guide the care team to deliver exceptional support to residents each day.
  • Oversee handovers, allocate staff effectively and ensure residents' needs are met with dignity, respect and consistency.
  • Mentor and supervise carers, ensuring they feel supported and motivated to provide the highest standard of care.
  • Lead by example—auditing care plans, managing medication safely, welcoming new residents and communicating with families, GPs and multi-disciplinary professionals.
  • Ensure the home is a safe, welcoming environment where residents feel truly cared for and colleagues feel supported.
