Job summary

Care UK in County Durham is seeking a dedicated Care Team Leader to guide shifts, supervise staff and ensure high-quality resident care. You will lead by example, coordinating care plans with families and healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate support.

You will case manage residents, administer medications, perform risk assessments, and work with the leadership team to develop services while maintaining a professional, engaging approach for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in health and social care desirable.
• Be well-organised, IT literate and adept at allocating and delegating work.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise others.
• A good understanding of care planning processes.
• Be experienced in or happy to undertake training on administering medication.
• Natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise your shift.
• Case manage residents and liaise with families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure best care plans are delivered.
• Administer and record medication.
• Carry out risk assessments.
• Support residents with daily needs alongside care assistants.
