Job summary

Bristol Care Homes Beech House in Thornbury is seeking an experienced Team Leader to support residents and lead care staff. You will ensure health and social care needs are met through person-centred plans and resident-led activities.

Hours are 42 per week. Basic pay £14.70 per hour plus enhanced weekend rates, with DBS clearance required and equal opportunities employer.

Qualifications

• We are looking for experienced Team Leaders or motivated individuals with strong care experience.
• You will need a Level 3 Adult Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' health and social care needs are met through enabling and promoting resident choices and independence.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate resident-led and person-centred care plans.
• Support, supervise and guide care staff.
• Take charge of the residential unit in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility.
• Promote and maintain a stimulating, safe, comfortable, and homely environment with resident-led activities.
• Maintain smooth day-to-day operation and staffing levels, liaising with nursing, admin, catering and housekeeping teams.

Requirements for the Team Leader role:

• We are looking for experienced Team Leaders or motivated and enthusiastic individuals with strong experience in care ready to take the next step into a senior carer position.
• You will need a level 3 adult social care qualification

Responsibilities and duties for the Team Leader role are:

• Responsible for ensuring residents health and social care needs are met through enabling and promoting resident choices and independence.
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating resident led and person-centred care and care plans.
• Support supervise and guide care staff.
• Designated to take charge of the residential unit in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility
• Ensuring the health and social care needs of the residents are met with the development, implementation, and evaluation of person-centred care plans with the resident, relatives and care workers contributing.
• Actively promote and maintain a stimulating, safe, comfortable, and homely environment for all residents with resident led meaningful activities, occupation, and entertainment.
• Maintain the smooth running of the day-to-day management of the home ensuring safe staffing levels are always maintained and absence is managed, liaising with nurse in charge of home if unable to resolve staffing issue in house.
• Delegation and delivery of care working with colleagues to ensure a high standard of client led person centred care
• Communicating verbally and in writing to colleagues, relatives, health professionals and liaising with administration, nursing, maintenance, catering, and housekeeping teams

HOURS:

42 hours per week

PAY:

As an employee age 21 years + you will earn

• Basic pay of £14.70
• 10% additional pay at weekends
• 50% extra pay on Bank holidays.
