Job summary

Crystal Care Collection in the United Kingdom seeks a Care Team Leader to guide and mentor care staff, delivering person-centred care and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Working with the General Manager and Care Manager, you will lead shifts, manage care plans, supervise medication administration, and uphold high standards of confidentiality and safety.

This permanent role offers full induction training, DBS and enhanced checks, a supportive team, and clear opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) required.
• Experience in a senior care or leadership role preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the home outside office hours or in the absence of the General Manager and/or Care Manager, ensuring safe and effective operation.
• Lead, coach and support the care team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
• Provide high-quality personal care in accordance with individual care plans.
• Act as a Key Worker for allocated residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are fully understood and met.
• Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing individual care plans.
• Undertake Move-In Assessments and contribute to admissions decisions.
• Safely order, administer and record medication in line with procedures and legislation.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure colleagues do the same.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and related legislation.
• Complete quality audits, supervisions and appraisals as delegated.
• Support hands-on care when required and participate in on-call rota.

About the Role

As a Care Team Leader / Deputy Manager, you'll lead by example, supporting and mentoring care teams to deliver person-centred care that enables residents to live fulfilled, enriched and dignified lives.

Working closely with the General Manager and Care Manager, you'll help ensure the home operates safely, effectively and in line with regulatory requirements, while promoting a positive culture for both residents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the home outside office hours or in the absence of the General Manager and/or Care Manager, ensuring safe and effective operation.
• Lead, coach and support the care team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
• Provide high-quality personal care in accordance with individual care plans.

• Participate in the home's emergency on-call rota.

About You

• Holds an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Has previous experience in a senior care or leadership role.
• Is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care.
• Leads by example and enjoys coaching and developing others.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Can remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Is committed to maintaining high standards and regulatory compliance.

Working Pattern

This role operates on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on followed by three consecutive shifts off.

Shift Options

• Full Time Days
• 8:00am - 8:00pm
• Average 42 hours per week

Pay Rates

• £18.22 per hour
