We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team as a Care Team Leader in our high-quality residential care home in Thornbury, specialising in elderly care and dementia support.

As Care Team Leader, you will take responsibility for leading care staff on shift, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and person-centred care. You'll be a key part of the team, working closely with senior management to support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents.
Key duties include:
Leading and supervising the care team during your shift
Overseeing daily care delivery and ensuring high standards are consistently met
Supporting with care planning, risk assessments, and reviews
Administering and managing medication in line with best practice
Providing hands-on care and leading by example
Acting as a point of contact for residents, families and visiting professionals
Promoting independence, dignity and choice in all aspects of care
We are looking for someone with strong clinical and interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to care delivery, and a commitment to leadership within the care team.
Essential requirements:
Previous experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant, Team Leader, or equivalent role
Experience working in a residential care or dementia care environment
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
Confident supervising staff and managing care delivery
Medication administration experience
Excellent communication, teamwork and decision-making skills
A compassionate, reliable and professional approach to care
