Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker to join our team at Longfield House in Bradford. You will work full-time (42 hours) on 12-hour shifts, with alternate weekends, on a two-week rolling rota, days only, to provide person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Applicants should be genuinely driven to make a difference, be an excellent communicator and a good team player. DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs
• Safeguard
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
• Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
• Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
