Job summary

Cygnet in Bradford is hiring a confident Care & Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities. The role is full-time, 42 hours per week, 12-hour shifts with alternate weekends on a two-week rolling rota, days only, at Longfield House.

You will provide physical and emotional support, learn individuals' needs, assist with welfare and medical needs, keep a safe environment, and help service users access the community and activities.

Qualifications

• Full-time role, 42 hours per week.
• 12 hour shifts with alternate weekends on a two-week rolling rota.
• Days only, based at Longfield House in Bradford.
• Please note, due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are only able to accept female applicants for this role.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs.
• Safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Support service users to access the community and engage in activities.
• Encourage growth and learning through tasks like cooking and cleaning.
