Job summary

Valence School seeks Care Support Assistants to help students in class or residential settings, fostering independence, life skills and confidence on a day-to-day basis.

You will support students with daily activities and learning, and you will receive specialist training including medication and gastrostomy feed administration as required. This is a permanent part-time, term-time role with varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support students' physical, social, emotional and educational needs during daily activities.
• Assist with mealtimes, personal care and mobility; support learning and life skills.
• Follow student care plans and maintain safety while supporting wellbeing.

Job description

We are looking for Care Support Assistants to support students across in either the class or residential settings. In this hands-on, rewarding role you will help students develop their independence, life skills and confidence every day.

You will support students' physical, social, emotional and educational needs, helping with daily activities such as mealtimes, personal care and mobility. You will also assist with learning, life skills and activities that promote independence and personal development. You will work closely with the education or residential teams following student care plans and maintaining safety whilst supporting students' wellbeing. Specialist training including medication and gastrostomy feed administration will be provided as required.

PERMANENT PART TIME, TERM TIME ROLES

£10,007 - £15,011 Annually (Actual)

£13.77 per hour : Term Time : 16-24 hours per week : Monday to Thursday : 18:00-22:00 or 15:30-21:30

Monday to Thursday : 24 hours per week : 3.30pm to 9.30pm : £14,716 gross p.a.

or

Monday to Thursday : 16 hours per week : 6.00pm to 10.00pm : £9,811 gross p.a.
