Avencia Talent Solutions Limited is seeking a Development Underwriter specialising in the Care Sector to join a growing UK Commercial Insurance team. You will combine strong technical underwriting with broker relationship experience to deliver profitable growth.

You will work across underwriting, distribution, claims, actuarial and risk teams to develop propositions and drive broker engagement. Flexible working arrangements are supported, with a focus on strategic growth of the Care portfolio.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years' experience underwriting Care in a commercial insurance environment.
• Strong underwriting and portfolio management skills.
• Proven track record developing broker relationships and generating new business.
• Professional qualifications such as Dip CII/ACII, or commitment to them.

Aufgaben

• Underwrite complex Care Sector risks within authorities and guidelines.
• Develop and convert new business opportunities against targets.
• Build and maintain broker relationships and distribution partners.
• Maintain broker presence through visits and market engagement.
• Identify new trading opportunities within regions and broker portfolios.
• Manage pipeline and broker activity using CRM and underwriting systems.
• Collaborate with Claims, Risk, Actuarial, Distribution and Operations.
• Mentor colleagues and promote high underwriting standards.
• Represent the business at broker meetings and industry events.
• Contribute to Care Sector proposition and growth strategy.
