Job summary

Home Instead in Taunton is seeking compassionate Waking Nights Domiciliary Care Workers to support individuals in their own homes overnight, helping maintain independence and dignity.

Ideal candidates have a Category B driving license, DBS or Update Service, and good English with IT literacy. You will work night shifts, travel between remote sites, and contribute to a caring team committed to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• A valid Category B driving license is a genuine occupational requirement.
• DBS check or be on the Update Service.
• Right to work in the UK; we do not offer sponsorship.
• Level 4 English and IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support throughout the night.
• Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene needs.
• Monitor clients’ wellbeing and safety.
• Administer or prompt medication where required.
• Offer companionship and reassurance during the night.
• Keep accurate records and report concerns.
• Support clients with mobility and positioning needs.

Are you a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in people's lives? We are seeking caring and motivated Waking Nights Domiciliary Care Workers to support individuals in their own homes during overnight hours, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

• A valid Category B driving license is agenuine occupational requirementfor this role due tothe need to travel between remote sites where public transport is unavailable.
• DBS or be on the Update Service
