Job summary

Home Instead is expanding its home care team in Wells and surrounding Mendip area. We seek bright, compassionate Care Professionals to support clients in their own homes across Cheddar, Winscombe, Mendip Hills and neighbouring villages.

The role involves companionship, daily routines, meal prep, medication support and personal care, including clients with dementia or mobility challenges. A driving licence and local presence are important.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable.
• Willing to work alternate weekends (Sat & Sun).

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and help with daily routines.
• Assist with medication and personal care.
• Support clients living with dementia, Parkinson's, stroke recovery or other conditions.
• Assist with simple clinical tasks such as compression stockings or catheter care.
• Help with outings, appointments and shopping.
• Carry out housekeeping and light home support as needed.
• Help clients stay safe, comfortable and independent at home.
