Job summary

Stockdales in Sale, Greater Manchester, is recruiting a Care Practitioner to provide day-to-day, person-centred care to residents with learning and physical disabilities. Full or part-time roles available, with a starting salary of £26,130 per year and progression after six months.

The role offers enhanced pay for night shifts (£12 per night) and sleep-in £55, along with a wide range of training, a pension scheme, mileage and other benefits; you will also have opportunities to lead shifts and

Qualifications

• Ideally 1 year or more care experience with ability to lead shifts.
• Basic IT skills: Word, email, reading/writing and basic numeracy are essential.
• Willingness to undertake a professional qualification (Level 2/3 RQF/NVQ).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day, person-centred care and activities for residents.
• Assist with day trips and activities such as swimming, seaside visits and outings.
• Support residents with learning disabilities and complex health care needs.

What we want in return:

• Ideally a minimum of 1 year experience working in care with the ability to lead shifts
• Caring, self-motivated staff members who have passion and want to help people with learning disabilities and complex health care needs
• Have basic IT skills-Microsoft word and email. Ability to read and write and have basic numeracy skills is essential to this role
• Be Prepared to undertake a professional qualification relevant to the role, such as a level 2/3 RQF/NVQ
• Commitment to training and to progress to a shift leader
• Committed, reliable and willing to work as part of a team
• Flexibility- willing to work weekends and bank holidays
• Satisfactory DBS check, 2 references
