Crystal Care Collection Limited in Truro, Cornwall seeks a dynamic Care Manager to support the General Manager in all aspects of day-to-day running of the care home. Requires NVQ Level 5 or current progression toward it, and a passion for elevating care standards.

The role is based at Landers Court, a site opening in January 2027, with a family-oriented environment and opportunities to make a meaningful difference to residents and staff. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00.

Qualifikationen

• Must have NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or currently working towards it.
• Experience as a care manager or senior caregiver is preferred.
• Proven ability to support the General Manager and lead day-to-day operations.

• Act as person in charge of the Home in the absence of the General Manager.
• Participate in on-call rota for out-of-hours management.
• Oversee residents' needs and ensure relevant agencies and relatives are informed.
• Monitor and manage PCS compliance.
• Provide coaching and support to staff on care planning.
• Oversee ordering and booking of all medications.
• Assist with interviews, investigations and disciplinary issues as required.
• Assist with rota management to maintain appropriate staffing and skill mix.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements including HACCP, COSHH, and Health and Safety.

You will assist the General Manager in the overall direction, coordination, implementation control of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, vision and goals. Your role will be based in Landers Court which is well under construction and set to open in January 2027!

Key responsibilities

• To act as person in charge of the Home in the absence of the General Manager.
• To participate in the on‑call rota for out of hours management.
• To oversee Residents needs are being met, and that relevant professional agencies and relatives where needed are informed in the best interests of the residents.
• To monitor and manage PCS compliance.
• To provide coaching and support for team members to develop their care planning skills.
• Oversee the ordering and booking in of all medication.
• Assist with interviews, investigations and disciplinary issues as required.
• Assist with rota management and staffing ensuring an appropriate skill mix of staff on shift at all times. Ensure the Coolcare rota is maintained.
• Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the homes, including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety, all aspects of the Care Standards Act to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
