Job summary

Crystal Care Group South West is seeking a dynamic Care Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of Tudor House, Thornbury, and Somer Valley House, Midsomer Norton. You will empower residents and staff, uphold company strategy, and drive standards within a family-oriented environment.

Key duties include acting as person in charge during the General Manager's absence, on-call management, staff coaching, care planning, medication management, rota oversight, and ensuring

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it) is required.
• Ability to act as person in charge in the absence of the General Manager.
• Experience in care planning and coaching care staff.
• Commitment to statutory requirements and high safety standards (HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety).

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge in the absence of the General Manager.
• Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours management.
• Oversee resident needs and liaise with professionals and relatives.
• Monitor PCS compliance and manage rota staffing.
• Support care planning and staff development.
• Oversee medication ordering and administration.
• Assist with interviews and disciplinary issues.
• Ensure rota maintains appropriate skill mix.

We're seeking a motivated Care Manager to support the General Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the care home, with an NVQ Level 5 or currently working towards one. You will be a vital member of our family-oriented environment at Tudor House, Thornbury! You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and staff. You will assist the General Manager in the overall direction, coordination, implementation control of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, vision and goals. Your role will be based in Somer Valley House, Midsomer Norton! Key responsibilities:

• To act as person in charge of the Home in the absence of the General Manager.
• To participate in the on-call rota for out of hours management.
• To oversee Residents needs are being met, and that relevant professional agencies and relatives where needed are informed in the best interests of the residents.
• To monitor and manage PCS compliance.
• To provide coaching and support for team members to develop their care planning skills.
• Oversee the ordering and booking in of all medication.
• Assist with interviews, investigations and disciplinary issues as required.
• Assist with rota management and staffing ensuring an appropriate skill mix of staff on shift at all times. Ensure the Coolcare rota is maintained.
• Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the homes, including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety, all aspects of the Care Standards Act to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
