Job summary

Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a proactive Team Manager for the Care Leavers Service in Birmingham. You will lead a team of Personal Advisors and practitioners, ensuring high-quality support and performance management while driving service development.

The role supports care-experienced young people as they transition to adulthood. We seek a leader who can inspire staff, build partnerships across agencies, and champion trauma-informed, ambitious practice.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of Personal Advisors and practitioners.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and corporate parenting.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and develop staff to high standards.
• Capacity to balance support and challenge for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Personal Advisors and practitioners (approx. 7–8).
• Provide case oversight, quality assurance and performance management.
• Drive service development and improvements across the Leaving Care Service.
