Supporting the Home Manager and leading a team of carers, you'll be responsible for planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You’ll review care plans regularly through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You’ll balance supporting your team and ensuring residents' wellbeing.

You should have previous experience in a residential care setting with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or an NVQ Level 2 with willingness to study for Level 3. Supervisory experience like delegating tasks, supporting inductions, and conducting 1-to-1s is beneficial but not essential.
What matters most is you being a positive role model with excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate others, and confidence in taking charge. You should be proactive, able to resolve problems independently, and handle queries effectively.
