Job summary

Centrumcarehomes is hiring a Cook for Estuary View, a 36-bedroom care home, with part-time hours (35 hours, 8am-6pm) and flexibility to support Croft Lodge in emergencies. The role centres on preparing meals for residents with special dietary needs and maintaining kitchen hygiene.

Experience in batch cooking and prior kitchen support roles are preferred. Benefits include company events, pension, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in cooking for people with special diets.
• It is advantageous to have Basic Food Hygiene training/certificates.
• Candidate may have prior experience as Catering Assistant or Kitchen Porter.

Responsibilities

• Preparing Breakfast, Lunches, Tea & Supper.
• Cleaning the kitchen & keeping work areas tidy.
• Managing stock rotation.
• Supporting with food orders.
• Interacting with residents to ensure they are eating nutritious and appetising food.
• Experience with Basic Food Hygiene is advantageous.
• Previous Catering Assistant or Kitchen Porter experience is advantageous.
