You will help maintain the pantry, assist in meal preparation, and support residents with dietary needs at Innis Mhor Care Home in Tain, Scotland. Applicants should be adaptable, ready to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Role requires flexibility to work part-time across days and weekends.
• Experience in kitchen or food service is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety policies and maintain cleanliness.
• Must be able to support meal preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Manage the 'Cook Safe' system and monitor food safety, temperature, and hygiene.
• Prepare and serve breakfast, offer meal choices, and cook light meals.
• Liaise with cooks to accommodate dietary needs and allergies; plan daily menus.
• Clear tables, wash dishes, set up for meals, and maintain kitchen and dining areas.
• Order and store food supplies while following infection control policies.
• Attend mandatory training.
