Job summary

Care Concern Group is seeking a dedicated Chef to provide nutritious, high-quality meals for residents at Meadow View Neurological Centre, Basingstoke. You will plan, prepare and serve balanced meals, tailoring menus to dietary needs and textures while upholding strict hygiene standards.

You will work as part of a supportive kitchen team, ensuring meals contribute to a positive dining experience and overall wellbeing for those you support. DBS, pension and uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef, ideally in a care or similar setting.
• NVQ Level 2 in food preparation or cooking.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Good knowledge of food safety, health and safety and COSHH.
• Commitment to providing high quality food and service.
• Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
• Flexible and reliable approach.
• Caring and respectful approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve balanced meals.
• Adapt menus to individual requirements such as allergies and textures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safe working practices.
• Work with the care team to ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and meet needs.
• Support the smooth running of the kitchen and maintain consistent food quality.
