Job summary

TLC Care is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our care home team. You will assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and drinks for residents, under the guidance of the Chef Manager, while ensuring food safety and high hygiene standards in a supportive, caring environment.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate preferable.
• Experience of working in a kitchen.
• Good communication skills.
• Team player.
• Genuine interest of working within a care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals and drinks.
• To prepare vegetables and beverages for residents as required by the Chef Manager
• To prepare food trolleys for the meals
• To provide assistance with plating meals when required.
• To assist with the preparation of puree food.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
