Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Corby is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support the catering function at Seagrave House Care Home. You will help with food preparation, maintain hygiene, and deliver a high-quality service to residents.

The role requires a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, knowledge of health and safety, and the ability to work as part of a caring team in a busy environment. DBS check will be completed by Avery.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, especially Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Be an efficient worker capable of sustaining physical effort under a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and a positive, flexible approach to team working.
• Show care and understanding towards residents.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering function in food preparation.
• Maintain a clean kitchen environment for safe production of meals and beverages.
