Job summary

Holmes Care Group in Renfrew is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help run the kitchen smoothly and ensure residents receive nutritious meals. You will keep the kitchen clean, assist with meal preparation, wash up, and support stock handling.

Experience is helpful but not essential, as full training and ongoing development are provided. We offer excellent pay, holiday enhancements, pension, and access to training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen is preferred but training will be provided.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen area (floors, cookers, fridges).
• Assisting with food and drink preparation at meal times.
• Washing and drying up, and loading/unloading the dishwasher.
• Preparing and replenishing the food/tea trolleys.
• Assisting with stock taking and storage of goods, including deliveries.
• Disposing of refuse and waste safely.
