Job summary

Gold Care Homes Acton Care Centre in Acton, London, is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation, breakfast items, and food service for residents.

You will keep kitchen areas clean, follow health and safety regulations, manage storage of dry goods, and ensure dishes and utensils are cleaned to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of produce for meal time service, including cooking of breakfast items, vegetables, and sandwiches.
• Ensure kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned according to schedules and maintain organisation.
• Adhere to statutory and Company Health and Safety Regulations.
• Store dry and perishable goods correctly and promptly after receipt and checking.
• Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials.
• Wash and clean crockery, cutlery, and drinking vessels using the main kitchen dishwasher.
• Clean pots, pans, cooking utensils and service counter containers and store after cleaning.
