Job summary

Blackwood Homes and Care is seeking a permanent Support Worker to join the Glasgow care home team. In a 24/7 residential setting, you will help residents with personal care, meals, mobility and daily tasks, following personalised support plans and PVG/SSSC requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to use apps and devices to support service provision.
• Willingness to work on a rota including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support with meals and hydration.
• Aid mobility and use of wheelchairs/assistive devices.
• Provide simple treatments and medication assistance.
• Follow care plans and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers and the care team.
