Macklin Care Homes is recruiting a Relief Housekeeping & Kitchen Assistant at Our Lady's Care Home in Belfast. You will support both housekeeping and kitchen teams, helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious meals for residents.

The role requires high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and health and safety, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, housekeeping, cleaning or care home environment is desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and cleaning standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact respectfully with residents.

Responsibilities

• Support both housekeeping and kitchen teams as required.
• Assist with preparation of meals as directed by Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
• Prepare basic items like salads, sandwiches, soups.
• Help serve meals following dietary requirements.
• Carry out daily housekeeping duties and maintain high cleanliness and infection control standards.
• Follow food safety and health and safety procedures.
