Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting chefs of all levels to join our team for roles in East Sussex, including Eastbourne and Hastings. Pay ranges from £16 to £21 per hour, with full-time, part-time, and casual shifts available.

Duties include organising the busy catering operation, preparing food to a high standard, assisting with stock ordering, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies. IDDSI knowledge is essential; a DBS check and Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate are required.

Responsibilities

• Organise and control busy catering operation to ensure efficient service.

Pay rates

from £16ph to £21 per hour depending on job role and requirements.

Own transport would be desirable

Duties to include

• Help organise and control the busy catering operation ensuring a successful and efficient service is provided.
• Prepare and present food to the highest quality.
• Assist with the ordering of stock.
• Comply with and Health and Safety regulations.
• Ensure all legislation and procedures are adhered to.
• Chefs MUST have knowledge & understanding of IDDSI: International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) is a global standard with terminology and definitions to describe texture modified foods and thickened liquids used for individuals with dysphagia of all ages, in all care settings, and for all cultures.

Requirements

• Willingness to cover shifts at short notice
• Enhanced level DBS check - Adult workforce
• Minimum level 2 Food hygiene certificate
• Knowledge and understanding of IDDSI
• Ability to follow Health & Safety policies
• Manual Handling and COSHH
