Job summary

Springcare Care Homes Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team in a care-home setting. You will perform varied maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and well-maintained living environment for residents.

Ideal candidates will have all-round maintenance skills and a proactive, flexible approach, with a commitment to high standards of work and safety. Training and development opportunities are offered within a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• All-round maintenance skills including joinery, plumbing and painting.
• Experience in a similar care-home environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift.
• Able to use handheld tools safely and follow training.
• Willing to undertake relevant training.
• Full valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Perform routine checks on equipment and safety systems.
• Do minor plumbing and carpentry work.
• Paint and decorate as required.
• Keep exterior areas clean and free from trip hazards.
• Replace light bulbs and manage stock of supplies.
• Provide meter readings for utilities.
• Before weekends/ bank holidays check lights and heating.
