Job summary

Dingle Meadow Care Home, a 43-bed care provider in Oldbury, is looking for a Maintenance Officer to keep the home safe, well maintained and fully operational. You will work closely with the Home Manager and team to carry out repairs, inspections, installations and upkeep, ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role.
• Good knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• A proactive and practical approach.
• Reliable, organised and able to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, inspections, installations and general upkeep.
• Ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently.
• Identify issues early and take appropriate action.
• Support maintenance planning, compliance checks and contractor coordination.
• Maintain a well organised, safe and fully functional environment.
