Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Person for Island Court Care Home in Bilston. You will provide general maintenance and caretaking services to keep the home and grounds well maintained, supporting a warm and caring environment for residents.

The role involves redecorating, carpet laying, bulb changes, and routine safety checks, with opportunities to work both autonomously and as part of a team. DBS check is required and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and caring nature.
• General maintenance experience.
• Detail-oriented painting and decorating.
• Good IT skills with apps on iPads and other IT equipment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Strong organisation and planning skills.
• Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Full and clean driving license.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance and caretaking to ensure home and grounds are well maintained.
• Carry out redecorating tasks and other upkeep to prepare rooms for new residents.
• Perform routine checks (e.g., fire alarms) and respond to maintenance requests.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a safe, caring, and welcoming environment.
