Job summary

Holmes Care Group LTD in Glasgow is seeking a Laundry Assistant to join our care team. You will be responsible for laundering residents’ clothing and linen to high standards, ensuring items are sorted and processed according to care home instructions.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe laundry area and contributing positively to resident and staff relationships within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure items are appropriately separated and laundered according to washing/drying instructions
• Launder all linen, including bedding, table cloths, towels and soft furnishings as required
• Ensure personal items are collected and returned within a reasonable timescale to their owner
• Maintain the laundry area in a tidy and safe condition and notify the Housekeeper of any safety hazards or defective equipment
• Perform general cleaning duties as required
• Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and visitors by becoming an important part of the team
