Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is looking for a dedicated laundry assistant to join our home and provide a high-quality laundry service for residents, ensuring garments are labelled, returned to the right person, and kept clean and organised.

The role runs from 8:00am to 5:00pm on a bank contract at £13.53 per hour. You will receive full induction training, paid breaks, a funded DBS check, uniform tunic, and access to ongoing development in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry or housekeeping is desirable but not essential.
• Attention to detail and a caring approach required.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality laundry service, following appropriate fabric care instructions and residents' individual requirements.
• Ensure all residents' clothing and personal items are clearly labelled, well maintained and returned promptly to the correct person.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation and company policies.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Operative and General Manager.
• Monitor the laundry environment to ensure it remains clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Use initiative to identify and deal with spillages or hazards immediately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, attending meetings and training sessions while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.
• Support the wider home wherever appropriate to ensure residents receive the highest standard of service.
