Job summary

Nazareth Care Charitable Trust is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team at our care home. You’ll help with general food preparation and kitchen cleaning, ensuring meals and trolleys meet the required standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable time management, and a flexible, energetic approach. DBS/PVG checks are required, and Level 2 Food Hygiene certification is desirable or training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience is desirable but training will be provided.
• Essential you have good communication skills and can work well within a team and individually.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, with a flexible approach.
• Energetic and hard working with good time management and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food.
• Prepare residents meal trolleys and trays to the correct standard prior to serving meals.
• Participate in general kitchen duties as required.
• Ensure high standard of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen.
