Job summary

Maria Mallaband is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation and maintain high Health and Safety standards within a care home setting. You will liaise between the main kitchen and residents, plate meals, and keep prep areas clean while upholding strict cleanliness protocols.

The role requires the ability to work under pressure, effective communication, and a genuine interest in care home work. Flexible shifts are available to fit the needs of the residents.

Qualifications

• Able to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assisting chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas clean.
• Genuine interest in working in a care home environment.
• Flexible to work shifts.
• Previous care home experience is desirable but not essential.
