Job summary

Renaissance Care is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant for Kingsmills Care Home in Inverness to join our catering team. The role handles preparation and serving of meals, supports residents, and maintains hygiene standards, with the flexibility to help develop seasonal menu options.

Hours are 33 per week in a compassionate health and social care setting, focusing on resident well-being, food safety, and a hospitality-style dining experience.

Qualifications

• A background in hospitality or equivalent, with ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively and pay good attention to detail.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate; knowledge of COSHH and HACCP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clear dining areas, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Assist in preparation and serving of nutritious meals, following safety protocols.
• Engage with residents to support a hospitality-style approach to catering and dining.
• Contribute to developing seasonal menus that promote choice and independence.
