Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for Providence Court Care Home in Baldock. The role covers 37 hours weekly, with weekday 9am–5pm hours and occasional weekend shifts. Salary is paid hourly, with enhanced weekend rates.

You will oversee all housekeeping operations, manage a team of housekeepers, and ensure a safe, clean environment for residents in a 61-bed home. Strong leadership and compliance with health and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading staff, managing rotas and team performance.
• Extensive housekeeping expertise and ability to develop cleaning schedules.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach promoting dignity and independence.
• Reliable IT, record-keeping and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all housekeeping operations and supervise the team to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure resident dignity is preserved and independence supported.
• Ensure COSHH regulations and safety guidelines are followed.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards across the home and equipment usage.
• Lead staff meetings, training and reviews; manage the housekeeping budget.
• Oversee laundry and stock checks; monitor hygienic conditions throughout the home.
