Job summary

Brooklands Care Home is seeking a proactive dual Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our friendly team. You will manage daily cleaning across the home and ensure residents’ laundry is handled with care, while maintaining dignity and respect for all residents.

You will work 40 hours per week on day shifts, including some weekdays and alternate weekends, with enhanced pay on bank holidays. Comprehensive training is provided to support your integration and development.

Qualifications

• No specific qualifications or prior experience required; full training provided.
• Care and compassion for residents; ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily cleaning schedules to keep all areas tidy and safe.
• Handle residents' laundry per washing instructions and report damaged items.
• Interact with residents respectfully, maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Identify items needing repair and pass to line manager.
