Job summary

Orchard Healthcare Group operates Castleford Lodge Care Home in Castleford, West Yorkshire. We are seeking a Domestic Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

This role offers 40 hours per week at a rate of £12.71 per hour, with duties across all areas of the home to high standards. You will follow cleaning guidelines, handle chemicals safely, support residents and families with compassion, and work as part of a busy care team.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas to a high standard per cleaning guidelines and schedules to meet residents' needs.
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of personal information, including privacy, dignity and choice.
• Understand and comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, fire safety, Care Standards Act and infection prevention policies to keep the home safe.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working order and report faults to the Home Management team.
• Check areas are stocked with housekeeping items; inform manager of shortages.
• Spot clean spillages as they occur.
• Be an active team member, attend training, and contribute to a friendly, supportive home.
