Job summary

St Georges Care Home in Cobham, Surrey is seeking a Gardener / Maintenance Support to maintain lawns, borders and hedges and support the upkeep of the home’s outdoor areas. The role requires pride in horticulture, reliability and the ability to work with the care team to create a pleasant environment for residents.

You will also assist with general maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with Bupa standards and safety regulations. The role is full-time and based at St Georges Care Home.

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor garden maintenance.
• Safe operation of garden tools and equipment.
• Awareness of health and safety standards in care settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining lawns, flowerbeds, borders and hedges; weeding and pruning shrubs and small trees.
• Advise the Home Manager on gardening issues and help plan areas for improvement.
• Occasionally assist the Maintenance team with ad hoc duties in and around the home.
